Poolside party
Last night's party was grand. Jane celebrated her 21st birthday with family and friends in her very large home. Dinner was a sit-down affair by the poolside complete with smartly attired waiters, champagne, hors d'oeuvres, and a large decorative ice sculpture of an owl.
Besides my juggling show, there was a quartet of guitar-strumming musicians, and a DJ to spin music for entertainment.
My performance was mostly done on the wooden poolside deck across from the dining guests. The deck was about 5-feet in depth; and where I stood, the water was just 3-feet away. My past experience in performing juggling in tight spaces was most useful for me to tap on. It's a good thing too that the poolside deck was dry!
